Why missed appointments and late cancellations matter
Missed appointments and late cancellations have a significant impact on the practice and other patients. When an appointment is not attended or cancelled in good time, valuable clinician time is lost that could have been offered to another patient in need of care. It also reduces appointment availability and can lead to longer waiting times for everyone. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the slot to another patient. By cancelling in advance, you are helping us use NHS resources effectively and showing consideration for your fellow patients.
